Bake tender, boneless chicken breasts covered in a creamy garlic parmesan sauce for a simple, flavorful weeknight chicken recipe.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish. Drizzle with olive oil.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until smooth. This creates your creamy garlic chicken sauce.
  4. Pour the sauce evenly over the chicken breasts.
  5. If using, sprinkle the breadcrumbs over the top of the sauce.
  6. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit and the sauce is bubbly.
  7. Let the cheesy garlic parmesan chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For a low carb chicken bake, skip the breadcrumbs.
  • You can add a handful of spinach to the sauce for extra vegetables.
  • This recipe works well for family friendly chicken dinners and reheats nicely for leftovers.
