Ingredients
Scale
1 lb frozen raw shrimp (peeled and deveined, medium or large size)
1 teaspoon olive oil (or cooking spray)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon paprika
Instructions
Preheat your air fryer to 390°F (200°C) for 3 minutes.
Place the frozen shrimp in a medium bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and toss to lightly coat.
In a small dish, mix together the salt, garlic powder, black pepper, and paprika. Sprinkle this seasoning blend over the shrimp and toss until they are evenly coated.
Place the seasoned frozen shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd the basket; cook in batches if necessary to ensure crispiness.
Air fry for 10 to 12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through the cooking time (around the 5-minute mark).
The shrimp is done when it is opaque throughout and has reached an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
Remove immediately and serve hot for a quick, crispy air fryer dinner or appetizer.
Notes
For a garlic parmesan flavor, add 1 tablespoon of grated Parmesan cheese during the last 2 minutes of cooking.
If your shrimp are very large, you may need to add 1 to 2 minutes to the total cook time.
This method works well for creating low carb air fryer shrimp meals.
